5310 Grant Application
The Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA) is now accepting applications for the FTA’s Section 5310 – Enhanced Mobility for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program. Funding for this program is available from the FTA’s Federal Fiscal Year 2019 apportionment to SARTA as the State designated recipient.
Projects that may be funded by this program must be included in the Updated Human Services-Public Transit Coordinated Transportation Plan for the Stark Area Regional Transit Authority and the Stark County Area Transportation Study. For more information on the plan, see link below (Final Coordination Plan).
The application package and the transportation coordination plan are available from SARTA's website at www.SARTAonline.com. For questions concerning the application, you can contact Debbie Swickard, Grants Manager by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. These documents are also available for downloading from the Stark County Area Transportation Study (SCATS) website at www.rpc.starkcountyohio.gov.
All projects require a local financial share. Potential project applicants are encouraged to review the application package carefully for project requirements and eligibility.
There will be an instructional meeting at the Stark County District Main Library McKinley Room on April 9, 2019 at 10:00am to discuss changes to the application as well as program requirements. The deadline for submission of project applications to SCATS is 6 May 2019. Applications may be delivered directly or delivery service to SCATS. Applications sent by US Postal Service must be postmarked no later than 5 May 2019. Applications not received by this deadline will be returned unopened and not considered for funding.
