	SARTA CONDUCTING TWO SETS OF PUBLIC MEETINGS Topics: Changes to Fixed Route Service and Transportation Development Plan Canton, Ohio – Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA) will be conducting TWO SETS of public meetings (a total of twelve public meetings) in Alliance, Canton, and Massillon. Each location will have two meetings—one at noon and the other at 7pm. The first set of meeting is concerning proposed changes to fixed route service scheduled to start on September 6, 2010. The second set of meetings will present final recommendations for SARTA’s 5-year Transportation Development Plan. Public meetings concerning proposed changes to fixed route service are set for: Monday, August 2nd – SARTA’s Alliance Transit Center at Noon and 7pm Tuesday August 3rd – Stark County Main Library at Noon and 7pm Wednesday August 4th – Massillon Senior Center at Noon and 7pm Anyone wishing to voice their concern or support for the proposed route changes is encouraged to attend the public meetings. Alternately, you can call Customer Service or go to SARTA’s website and fill out the online route change form at www.SARTAonline.com/changes.html. Stark Area Regional Transit Authority has done a comprehensive review of all services for the first time since going countywide in 1997. This Transportation Development Plan (TDP) will allow SARTA to adjust unproductive routes and invest additional resources where needed. The TDP represents SARTA's desire to use high quality data to plan logically and systematically for its future, while striving to meet SARTA's mission of providing safe, responsive and efficient transportation for all citizens of Stark County.
