SARTA Announces New Tap-To-Pay Card, the SARTA SCORE Card

Provides Faster, Easier and More Convenient Ways to Pay Bus Fare
CANTON — The Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA) announced the official kick-off date and availability of a new tap-to-pay card which will make it faster, easier and more convenient for riders to purchase bus transportation. The smart fare payment option is a more secure and faster way to travel throughout Stark County. Beginning July 13th, 2022, SARTA riders will be able to get the new SARTA SCORE Card and load SARTA Fare payment for use. SARTA will be hosting a kick-off event at the Cornerstone Transit Center from 11AM to 1PM on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022, that includes food trucks and a live on-site DJ from Q92. Riders will also be able to gather information and ask questions as it relates to the SCORE Card and how to use them on SARTA services. The reloadable SARTA SCORE Card, is a plastic tap card designed for repeated use on all SARTA services. The SCORE acronym stands for Secure, Convenient, Orderly, Reloadable, Economical. To see what tickets and passes are available to purchase and load to the SCORE Card, visit SARTAonline.com/score-card. Fare boxes on SARTA vehicles can read the smart card enabling riders to tap the cards on the fare box without swiping.
