CANTON The Stark County Chapter of the American Council of the Blind of Ohio has put together a resource booklet to help people losing their vision.

The booklet includes information about signing up with Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA), financial benefits, how to find helpful products and medical devices, availability of talking prescription labels, talking books and cellphones, and rehabilitation services. The booklets have been given to the Philomatheon Society and are available by calling Carolyn Burley at 330-484-3807.

The group collects used cellphones to raise money for its projects. Phone donations can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Philomatheon Society at 2701 Tuscarawas W. For more information, call Burley at 330-484-3807.
