August 2019 Route Changes Descriptions

The following SARTA routes have approved changes that will be going into effect on August 19th, 2019. SARTA will have public meetings detailing the changes to the following routes.

The dates and the times for the public meetings are as followed:

Belden Village Transit Center: 9:00 am-10:00 am May 16th, 2019

Massillon Transit Center: 11:30 am-12:15 pm May 16th, 2019

Phyllis Beyers Alliance Transit Center 1:00 pm- 1:45 pm May 16th, 2019

Stark County Library 715 Market N. Canton, Ohio 44702 6:00 pm-7:00 pm May 16th, 2019

101 – The inbound trip will not service 34th St NE, Daleford Ave NE, nor 30th St NE. This stop will be serviced by the inbound 111.

111 – The inbound trip will now service 34th St NE, Daleford Ave NE and 30th St NE and then resume. Service times for these stops will not change.

117 – The outbound trip will remain the same while eliminating Mercy Medical on the inbound only. Mercy Medical center will still be serviced on the outbound trip.

119 – The inbound trip will continue on Fulton to Tuscarawas. 4th St NW will be eliminated from this route. Only 1 stop at Timken will be impacted. Timken will still have service on McKinley Ave

120 – The bus will enter the Stark State/Kent State campus from Frank, not from University. KSU will consolidate two stops to flag pole circle. KSU will provide a bus shelter for students and faculty.

139 – This route will use East Gorgas as the south end of service for the Louisville Loop. This will eliminate service from South St and south of Gorgas on both S Chapel and Nickel Plate South.
