Q: Why
can't I be picked up at an intersection when I "flag stop" a
bus?
A: There are a couple of safety factor reasons for this that
benefits you, passengers on the bus, and traffic. It is very
dangerous for a bus to stop mid-intersection to board passengers
while traffic is flowing from all directions. The possibilities
are there for the passenger to be struck by a car, or create
traffic jams and accidents.
