The Maintenance Department is under the supervision and leadership of the Director of Maintenance. The department consists of 35 employees in positions as mechanics, service personnel, and administration.

The department provides repairs and service, preventative maintenance, and cleaning and fueling of a total fleet of 93 buses. The department also maintains a stock of parts, materials, and equipment for the buses.

The building maintenance and repair is also under the Director of Maintenance for the SARTA's main location on Gateway Blvd., as well as the Transfer Stations located in Alliance, Canton, and Massillon.
