Among
the many reports that are created each year for review by
government agencies and the public, SARTA first submitted their
Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year
ending December 31, 2003 . This was a collaboration of team
representatives from many departments.
Certificate of Achievement for Excellence...
The Finance & Administration Department is proud to announce
that in 2007, SARTA has received its third consecutive CAFR
award! The CAFR (Comprehensive Annual Financial Report) is "the
highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and
financial reporting" as stated by the Government Finance Officers
Association. The association reviews the detailed reports and
selects the recipients for the award.

SARTA’s CAFR was among numerous reports from other government and
business organizations that were evaluated by the Government
Finance Officers Association. The GFOA honors only those that
encompass the highest standards in government accounting and
